Your home is the most important place in your life. It is where the majority of your time is spent and the place where you can relax and do nearly anything you want. Being that the home is such a significant part of our lives, it only makes sense that we would want to make it as aesthetic and beautiful as possible. Some people get lucky and land on a home improvement television show, and receive an incredibly luxurious, free makeover to their house.
While the average homeowner probably will not get this opportunity, there are still ways to improve on the interior design of your home by yourself, and with the help of friends, family, and local contractors.
To renovate your interior, the first thing you need to think about is, obviously, what you want. Many people can instantly conjure up images of their perfect home, while others need a little more time to think about what would be most pleasing to them. Things to think about include color schemes, room arrangements, how much space you need, what fixtures and accessories to have, and any themes or styles you are fond of. You may also need to get new furniture, or at least clean some of it up a bit, to fit in with your vision. Do not be afraid to spend a lot of time on this step; after all, the dream is what will guide you and will be very evocative of the final product. Since you will literally have to live with the end creation, you want to make sure you will love it. Read more...

Even though Iâve spent a lot of time in California over the years, I will admit that on my most recent trip I finally had the opportunity to visit a California institution, an In-n-Out Burger stand. While not there to critique the interior or the food, which was very good by the way, I couldnât help noticing some of the things that In-n-Out did well, and not-so-well as far as their Interior Branding was concerned.
Walking into the restaurant I was immediately impressed with the clean, bright interior. The red and white theme and feel of an old-time soda stand definitely hit me as soon as I walked through the door. While Iâm not entirely sure what a palm tree has to do with hamburgers, I was also impressed with the clever way the tree was replicated in the wallpaper (tone-on-tone) and the wall tiles. The consistent use of the theme on the signage, cups, fries baskets, and in the décor reinforced the companyâs logo and Southern California sense of place. Okay. Youâre a dentist. You even have the diploma on the wall from a
prestigious university and possibly a myriad of other specialization
certificates to prove it. And your very own shingle out front of a practice
that is yours! So what. So do a lot of others. What is going to make a
prospective patient walk through your front door and check you out? What is
going to keep them coming back and telling their friends and co-workers
about you? Yeah, I know, you graduated at the top of your class and the guy
across the street barely scrapped by, but does that prospect know that?
Would she believe you even if you told her? All else being equal, the only
way you can differentiate your practice from your competition is through
branding.
Branding goes way beyond just having someone whip you up a fancy logo or
sign and plastering it on your business card or on the sign out front.
Branding is the emotional essence of what people think about you and your
practice when they hear your name. Read more...

As a car ages in years, it starts needing a little more attention and care. Even if you take care of your car very well, chances are that as old age settles in it will need a few repairs. Some of these repairs are kind of unavoidable and maybe even unpreventable. However, getting the repaired is usually simple. And even if you car has a few years behind it, keeping it looking good will still help you sell the car if you happen to need or want to at some point down the road. One of these repairs is headliner repair.
The headliner is the fabric covering of the interior of an automobile’s roof. It is normally made of lightweight fabric and may have an inner framework of stiff wire or a cardboard backing for stiffness. It is usually made of a light colored material as well. Since the headliner is made out of such lightweight material it usually begins to wear down quicker than other parts of your vehicles interior. What usually ends up happening is that it started to sag in small areas, and then eventually it is sagging the entire way only holding on at the edges. It not only looks bad, but is annoying as it sits on your head as you drive. Read more...
