A coat rack is not simply just an ornate piece of furniture that is useful for well, hanging coats. From the free standing wooden coat stand, it developed into a wall mounted rack. Now, what is gaining more and more popularity is of course, the modern coat rack.

This type of rack is described to be a contemporary coat hanger, with the same functions and features but with added twists. These are made with different materials aluminum, plastic and metal. A modern coat rack may come in its free standing form but not in its common “tree”-like design. Some racks are even made with recyclable materials which in turn make it very eco-friendly.
